3.3 Standard of Care

The Company shall provide the Services with reasonable skill and care in accordance with industry standards.

Website projects shall include only the number of pages, features, and functionality specified in the Proposal.

Any additional pages, functionality, or revisions beyond the agreed scope shall be chargeable.

4.2 Client Obligations

The Client shall:

  • Provide content, materials, and approvals in a timely manner;
  • Ensure supplied materials do not infringe third-party rights.

The Company shall not be liable for delays caused by the Client.

4.3 Hosting and Domains

Unless expressly included, hosting, domains, and related infrastructure are the responsibility of the Client.
The Company accepts no liability for third-party hosting failures or downtime.

  1. SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMISATION (SEO) SERVICES

5.1 Nature of SEO

SEO is a long-term strategy intended to improve search visibility, impressions, and organic traffic over time.

SEO does not guarantee specific rankings, sales, enquiries, or business growth.

5.2 Outcomes Beyond the Company’s Control

The Client acknowledges that enquiries, bookings, and conversions depend on factors including:

  • Geographic coverage
  • Services offered
  • Pricing
  • Service quality
  • Availability and responsiveness
  • Market competition

These factors are outside the Company’s control.

5.3 Timeframes

SEO results typically develop over months and may include:

  • Initial technical improvements
  • Gradual increases in impressions and traffic
  • Long-term visibility growth

Actual outcomes may vary.

5.4 Search Engine Changes

The Company is not responsible for ranking or traffic changes caused by algorithm updates or third-party actions.

  1. PAID ADVERTISING SERVICES

6.1 Advertising Spend

Advertising budgets are paid directly by the Client to third-party platforms unless otherwise agreed.

Management fees relate solely to campaign management services.

6.2 Performance

The Company does not guarantee leads, sales, cost per acquisition, or return on advertising spend.

  1. SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING SERVICES

Social media services are provided for brand visibility and engagement purposes.
Performance outcomes may vary due to platform algorithms and audience behaviour.

  1. CONTENT CREATION SERVICES

Content is produced in accordance with the agreed brief.
The Company does not guarantee ranking, engagement, or conversion outcomes.

  1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

9.1 All intellectual property created by the Company shall remain its property until full payment is received.

9.2 Upon full payment, the Client is granted a non-exclusive, perpetual licence to use the final deliverables.

9.3 Drafts and unused materials remain the property of the Company.

  1. DATA PROTECTION AND GDPR

10.1 The Company processes personal data in accordance with:

  • The UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR); and
  • The Data Protection Act 2018.

  1. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

11.1 The Company shall not be liable for:

  • Content optimisation or recommendations
  • Performance monitoring and reporting

The precise scope will be defined in the agreed Proposal.

  1. Nature of SEO

The Client acknowledges that:

  • SEO is a long-term strategy
  • Results develop progressively over time
  • SEO is intended to improve search visibility, impressions, and organic traffic

SEO does not guarantee:

  • Specific keyword rankings
  • Sales, leads, bookings, or enquiries
  • Business growth or revenue outcomes
  1. Factors Affecting SEO Outcomes

The Client acknowledges that business results from SEO depend on factors beyond the Company’s control, including but not limited to:

  • Geographic areas covered
  • Services offered
  • Pricing structure
  • Quality of service delivery
  • Availability and responsiveness
  • Website usability and conversion performance
  • Market competition

Responsibility for these factors remains with the Client.

  1. Timeframes

SEO typically follows industry-standard phases:

  • Initial phase: Technical improvements and indexing signals
  • Development phase: Increased impressions and traffic movement
  • Ongoing phase: Improved authority and consistency

Timeframes vary depending on competition, industry, and website history.

  1. Search Engine Changes

Search engines regularly update algorithms and ranking criteria.
The Company shall not be liable for fluctuations caused by such updates or third-party actions.

SCHEDULE B – WEBSITE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT SERVICES

This Schedule applies where the Client engages Your IT Expert Limited for website design, development, or technical work.

  1. Scope of Work

Website projects include only the pages, features, and functionality specified in the agreed Proposal.

  1. Additional Pages and Features

Any pages, functionality, integrations, or features requested beyond the agreed scope:

  • Shall be treated as additional work
  • Will be quoted separately
  • Will not commence without Client approval
  1. Client Content and Approvals

The Client shall:

  • Provide all required content, images, and materials
  • Ensure content is accurate and legally owned or licensed
  • Provide feedback and approvals within reasonable timeframes

Delays in content or approvals may result in adjusted timelines.

  1. Hosting and Third-Party Services

Unless expressly included:

  • Hosting, domains, email services, and server infrastructure remain the Client’s responsibility
  • The Company is not responsible for downtime, security issues, or failures caused by third-party providers

SCHEDULE C – PAID ADVERTISING (PPC & PAID MEDIA) SERVICES

This Schedule applies where the Client engages Your IT Expert Limited to manage paid advertising campaigns.

  1. Advertising Platforms

Services may include campaign management on platforms such as:

  • Google Ads
  • Meta (Facebook / Instagram)
  • Other approved advertising platforms
  1. Advertising Spend
  • Advertising spend is payable directly by the Client to the relevant platform unless agreed otherwise
  • Management fees do not include advertising spend
  1. Nature of Paid Advertising

Paid advertising is influenced by market demand, competition, platform rules, and budget levels.

The Company does not guarantee:

  • Leads or sales
  • Cost per lead or acquisition
  • Return on advertising spend
  1. Platform Control

The Company is not responsible for:

  • Platform policy changes
  • Ad disapprovals or suspensions
  • Account restrictions
  • Cost fluctuations imposed by advertising platforms

SCHEDULE D – SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING SERVICES

This Schedule applies where the Client engages Your IT Expert Limited for social media management or marketing.

  1. Scope

Social media services may include:

  • Content planning and scheduling
  • Brand messaging and optimisation
  • Engagement and visibility support

The Company does not guarantee:

  • Follower growth
  • Reach or engagement levels
  • Sales or enquiries

SCHEDULE E – CONTENT WRITING & MARKETING SERVICES

This Schedule applies where the Client engages Your IT Expert Limited for content creation.

  1. Scope

Content may include:

  • Website copy
  • Blog articles
  • Marketing content
  • SEO-focused writing

Scope, word counts, and revisions are defined in the Proposal.

The Company does not guarantee:

  • Search rankings

  • Conversion outcomes

Performance depends on audience behaviour, platform algorithms, and market conditions.

Refunds will not be issued due to:

  • Timeframes not meeting expectations where industry-standard practices were followed

SEO outcomes depend on numerous factors outside the Company’s control, including business offering, pricing, availability, and competition.

4.2 Website Design & Development

Refunds are not applicable for:

  • Completed or partially completed development work
  • Approved designs or pages
  • Additional work requested beyond the original scope

If a concern arises, the Company will first seek to resolve it through reasonable revisions where applicable.

4.3 Paid Advertising (PPC & Paid Media)

Refunds are not available for:
